Business registration in Ghana starts with the entity type. Each path has different ORC forms, supporting documents, fees, ownership rules, and post-registration duties.

Entity Core requirements
Sole proprietorship Form A, Ghana Card both sides, name search, GHS 130 standard fee, yearly GHS 70 renewal.
Partnership Form B, stamped partnership agreement, Ghana Cards for partners, GHS 270 standard fee, yearly GHS 100 renewal.
Company limited by shares Form 3 pack, constitution, auditor consent, directors, secretary, shareholders, beneficial owners, GHS 585 standard fee.
Company limited by guarantee Form 3B or 3E, constitution, non-profit objects, directors, secretary, auditor, beneficial owners, GHS 490 standard fee.
External company Forms 20 and 21, local manager, process agent, power of attorney, notarized foreign documents, USD 1,400 standard fee.

Documents to prepare early

  • Name options and business activity description.
